Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about VenaBlock®.

What is VenaBlock®?

VenaBlock® is a non-thermal, non-tumescent varicose vein treatment that uses medical-grade cyanoacrylate adhesive to seal diseased veins permanently.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort. VenaBlock® requires only a single needle puncture and no tumescent anesthesia, making it significantly more comfortable than thermal alternatives.

How long does recovery take?

Patients can typically walk and resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. There is no need for compression stockings post-treatment.

What are the risks compared to laser treatment?

Because no heat is applied, VenaBlock® eliminates the risk of nerve damage and skin burns associated with laser and radiofrequency ablation procedures.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes and is performed in an outpatient setting under ultrasound guidance.

How is VenaBlock® quality assured?

VenaBlock® is developed and manufactured by INVAMED under internationally recognized quality management systems for medical devices.

Can VenaBlock® treat all varicose veins?

VenaBlock® is indicated for the treatment of incompetent great saphenous veins (GSV) and small saphenous veins (SSV). Your physician will assess your suitability during consultation.
